Euphemia Matheson started working with BKF & Co in 2016 after completing the Graduate LLB at the University of Glasgow. Whilst working for the firm she undertook the Diploma in Legal Practice at Strathclyde University on a part-time basis. Euphemia was awarded the Diploma in 2018 and began her traineeship immediately thereafter. Whilst working with BKF she has been exposed to a wide range of legal issues and this is set to continue throughout her traineeship.
Since starting her traineeship Euphemia has made regular appearances in the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland and has assisted with cases at in Sheriff Court and Court of Session.
Initially coming from an Arts background, Euphemia has an interest in media law and legal issues relating to the creative industries as well as general litigation. Euphemia’s legal interests also include employment law, public law, privacy and data protection issues.
