New Tenant Information Pack
Further to our last blog, it should be noted that there is a new Tenant Information Pack to be used from 1st December 2016.
This has been amended to reflect the transfer of functions of the Private Rented Housing Panel to the new First-tier Tribunal.
Landlords have a statutory duty under section 30A of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988 to serve the Tenant Information Pack on tenants no later than the commencement of the tenancy concerned. A failure to do so is a criminal offence.
The Tenant Information Packs (Assured Tenancies) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2016 provides the new style Tenant Information Pack to be used from the 1st of December 2016.
